BTC PRIVATIZATION COMMITTEE
The Committee for the Privatization of The Bahamas Telecommunications Company Limited has been appointed by the Honorable Prime Minister, Hubert A. Ingraham.

The Committee is chaired by Mr. T. B. Donaldson, who is also Chairman of Commonwealth Bank and the Council of the College of the Bahamas.

The other Committee members include:
• Mr. Julian W. Francis, former Central Bank Governor and Executive Chairman of BTC
• Mr. Felix Stubbs, General Manager, IBM Bahamas Ltd.
• Miss Wendy Warren, CEO Bahamas Financial Services Board
• Mr. Michael R. Moss, Chairman, Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas
• Mr. Simon Wilson, Director Economic Planning, Ministry of Finance
• Mr. Tellis Symonette, Vice President, Broadband and Wireless, BTC
• Ms. Felicity L. Johnson, Vice President, Legal, Regulatory & Interconnection, BTC

Mr. David R. Davis, Director of Investments, Bahamas Investments Authority, is the Secretary to the Privatization Committee.

At the first meeting of the Committee at the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday, 13th March 2008 the Committee was tasked by the Prime Minister with making recommendations to the Cabinet of The Bahamas for the successful completion of the privatization of BTC within a reasonably short time frame.

The Committee has commenced work on the privatization process with immediate effect and will consult with the Company’s Unions on matters of relevance as the privatization process progresses.
