Nassau, New Providence, February 4th: The Bahamas Telecommunications Company Limited, BTC is offering a Ten Thousand Dollar ($10,000.00) reward for anyone with information leading to the conviction of the parties involved in the sabotage of vital BTC equipment last month. The following equipment was severely damaged during these acts of sabotage:

Cabinet# 129 Flamingo Gardens
Cabinet# 164 Emerald Gardens
Aerial Cable Damage, Gladstone Road
Aerial Cable Damage, Rocky Pine Road
Vice President for Marketing, Sales & Business Development Marlon Johnson said “It is unfortunate that our loyal customers have been subjected to these vicious acts of sabotage. By offering a reward, we want to demonstrate to the public and would be perpetrators that we are serious about protecting the interests of the company and its customers.” Johnson continued saying “Citizens are encouraged to provide any information that they may have to the police.”
Individuals with information are asked to contact the Police Crime Tipsters hotline at 328 8477(TIPS). All calls are confidential. The damages to BTC equipment resulted in hundreds of customers being left without basic telecommunications service, and the company facing a bill of thousands of dollars in repairs.
